Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on the 26th of March in 1991. She is an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. In the month of October Ari Lennox dropped her debut EP Pho. This was the moment that she gained recognition. It was announced on December 8, she signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was the result of her participation to the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. On October 21, 2016 her Pho EP was released. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change as well as performing in The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as an opening artist. In 2018, she appeared as a guest on two songs with the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. On July 16 2018 Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on September 5. On the 9th of November the singer released two new singles, the 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 13, she released two more singles called No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby is a track that she recorded together with Cole on the soundtrack to Creed II on the 16th of November. The track was released as a standalone single in February of 2019 to coincide with the release of her debut album. The track was accompanied by the music video which debuted in February 20th, 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views on YouTube in one week. In December 2018, she performed as a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour together with 6LACK.
